Today’s quote comes to us from Chuck Todd, NBC’s host of “Meet The Press”.
Here is what Mr. Todd said about Hillary Clinton’s chances this Tuesday:
“I can tell you the Clinton campaign is very nervous about Ohio, they’re very nervous about Missouri which looks an awful lot like Oklahoma to them. Rahm Emanuel’s unpopularity may cost them votes in Chicago they normally would have. And they’re even thinking North Carolina is gonna be close.”
FYI, Bernie Sanders beat Hillary Clinton in Oklahoma, by 10%.
I very often disagree with Chuck Todd. But not this time.
What if Bernie Sanders makes it close in Ohio or wins outright? Wins in Missouri. And is competitive in Illinois and North Carolina?
That is a scenario which should keep every Hillary Clinton supporter up nights…and put every Democrat operative who understands what can happen at the Democrat convention if Ms. Clinton can’t put Sanders away into a perpetual cold sweat.
Where do you think the passion is here? For Hillary Clinton, the adoring choice of the 55-and-over gated community set -who is so disliked and so not trusted by young voters that they are running, not walking, to a 74 year old Senator most of them never heard of 6 months ago? Not hardly.
Chuck Todd wins Quote Of The Day honors for clearly, unambiguously laying out this possibility for all to see. When he’s right, he’s right. And, on this one, he is right 100%.
