Today\’s quote comes to us from President Barack Obama.
Speaking on Thursday\’s edition of CBS\’s This Morning, Mr. Obama told the country that:
“ISIL (that\’s ISIS to you less intellectual types) is NOT* going to pose an existential threat to us. They are a dangerous organization, like al-qaeda was, but….”
Mr. Obama then went on at some length to detail how excellent our defenses are against ISIS.
Hours later, ISIS, via syed farook and his wife tafsheen malik killed 14 people in San Bernardino and injured 28 more (that\’s the current count). malik went on social media to pledge her loyalty to ISIS literally during the shooting spree.
Last month, Mr. Obama told us that ISIL was “contained”…..hours before the Paris massacre that killed 130 and wounded hundreds more.
I award Barack Obama Quote Of The Day honors for being, arguably, the most ignorant, ridiculous clown we have had in the White House – certainly in my lifetime and possibly in everyone\’s.
Not just for the incredibly stupid comment about how safe we are from ISIS, but for referring to al-qaeda in the past tense. Ask the victims of al qaeda attacks which occurred just in the past month or two if they think it is a past-tense organization.
And an honorable mention to every media venue – especially the New York Daily News – for having virtually nothing negative to say about when he made these comments and what happened hours afterwards.
If it had been President George Bush telling us how safe we were, hours before San Bernardino, do you think these same media would have ignored it?
