THE QUOTE OF THE DAY

Ken Berwitz

Today\’s quote comes to us from Trey Gowdy who, in addition to chairing the House Oversight Committee,is a member of the House Judiciary Committee.  While meeting with members of Judiciary, Mr. Gowdy had this to say about President Obama\’s insulting comment that Republicans don\’t want Syrian refugees brought to the USA because they are “afraid of widows and orphans”:
“The president sayswe\’re scared of widows and orphans.  With all duerespect to him, what I\’m really afraid of is a foreign policy that creates morewidows and orphans.

“So where maybe he ought to start … is a foreign policy inthe Middle East, including Syria, where people can go back to their homelands, which is their preference, go back to their homelands.

“Maybe he ought to defeat that JV team that you thought youhad contained.  That would be the very best thing youcould do to help people who aspire to a better life.”

I could be mistaken, but I get a strong sense that Mr. Gowdy did not react well to Mr. Obama\’s comment.
Blame him?  Not me – especially after

-seeing that the demography of Syrian “refugees” is dramatically more male – usually soldier-age male – than their incidence in the Syrian population, and

-listening to Obama administration liar Ben Rhodes tell us that there is a full vetting process for all Syrian “refugees”, when it is impossible for that to be true (who did he take lessons from?  Susan “Benghazi was because of a video” Rice?)

I award Trey Gowdy Quote Of The Day honors for giving it back to Mr. Obama just as well – actually better than – he tossed it in the first place.

Oh, one other thing:  Note to Barack Obama:  according to the polls I\’ve seen, most of the country is against taking in
Syrian “refugees”.  But only about 30% of the country is Republican.  Maybe you\’d like to walk back that “it\’s just the Republicans inference…
