Today’s quote comes to us from President Donald Trump.
He actually said this yesterday:
“We totally control the Strait of Hormuz. We have control over it; nobody else, only us.”
He says this as Iran attacks ships in the strait every day, and a bare minimum of ship traffic goes though the strait because Iran is entirely capable of attacking them.
Based on the above, my opinion is that one of two things is true: either Donald Trump is an idiot, or he thinks we are idiots. If you can come up with an alternative to these alternatives let me know about it; I can’t.
I award Donald Trump Quote Of The Day “honors” for making one of the most ridiculous statements of his presidency (and, yes, there are plenty to pick from).
Does he know what he’s doing in Iran? What’s going on there? What we should/shouldn’t be doing about it?
I wish those weren’t reasonable questions to ask. But they are.
