THE QUOTE OF THE DAY

Today’s quote comes to us from Rep. Ro Khanna (D-CA), an immensely wealthy member of the House of Representatives, the vast majority of whose wealth comes from inheritance and from his wife’s family.

This is what Khanna has to say about the surge in socialist candidates winning Democrat primaries in Colorado and elsewhere:

“Yesterday was a big night for progressives. Colorado shows a new generation of progressives like Melat are building a new and bold Democratic Party. It’s time for the old guard to step aside.”

“A lot of people are asking me what I make of these progressive wins. I say, the era of cliches that politicians deliver with charisma and charm is over. This is a time for courage.”

Yes, I swear khanna – whose wealth, and the way he got it, would make him a special target of the socialist crowd he is snuggling up to – actually voiced those words.

It brings to mind Winston Churchill’s definition of an appeaser as someone who has neither the guts nor the integrity to defend what he himself is.  Churchill’s actual words:  an appeaser “hopes that if he feeds the crocodile enough, the crocodile will eat him last…(that) the storm will pass before their turn comes to be devoured”.

Churchill’s insulting definition describes Khanna just about perfectly.

I therefore award Ro Khanna Quote Of The Day “honors” for showing us so clearly who and what he really is.
