Today’s quotes (there are two of them) come to us from James Talarico, the alleged “moderate Democrat” running for the U.S. Senate in Texas.
The first quote is from April 25, 2022. Here, while running for re-election to the Texas House of Representatives, is Mr. Talarico talking about his commitment to veganism:
“I am proud to say that our campaign has officially become a non-meat campaign…we are only buying vegan products from our local vegan businesses…”
Ok, fair enough.
Except…
…here while running for the United States Senate, is Mr. Talarico, yesterday, talking about his commitment to beef:
“I want to say this definitively, and categorically, that I deny all accusations of veganism…and, y’know, our campaign basically runs on barbeque these days.”
This, to me, is roughly the equivalent of ilhan omar coming out in support of Israel and angrily denying she ever felt any other way.
I award James Talarico Quote Of The Day “honors” for providing a living, breathing definition of the term, “lying to your face”.
