THE QUOTE OF THE DAY

Today’s quote comes to us from former Washington Post columnist and current MSNBC regular,Eugene Robinson.

Mr. Robinson, it seems, is less than taken with President Trump building a grand ballroom in the White House.  And he has plenty of company;  just ask him.  If you do, this is what he’ll tell you, because it is what he said on yesterday’s “Morning Joe” show on MSNBC:

“People in Washington don’t seem to have a sense of how ridiculous and infuriating this is to everybody else in the country.”

Got that?  Eugene Robinson apparently has taken a poll and found that 100% of everyone outside of Washington (and, I’m guessing, everyone in Washington who thinks the way he does as well), is infuriated by Trump building a major addition to the White House that is being paid for entirely by private funds/not one cent from taxpayers.

Yep, there are protests all over the country about this.  You’ve seen them, haven’t y…..oh, what’s that?  You haven’t seen or heard one protest from any group or any individual?

Me neither.

Speaking personally, I have not heard one person say a bad word about the building of a White House Grand Ballroom.  In fact, I have not heard one person say anything about it one way or the other.

With the above in mind, here is a clue for Mr. Robinsonm, because it is apparent that he needs one:  if people are infuriated about something, it is far more likely to be that we are inundated with illegal aliens, or that the government has shut down/millions are not being paid because one party – guess which one?- keeps voting down a clean bill that would keep it going.

I award Eugene Robinson Quote Of The Day honors for so clearly demonstrating his combination of politically induced, anger-inspired, imagination posing as reality, and of Trump Derangement Syndrome.
