Today’s quote comes to us from Bill Maher, the solidly liberal-left icon who – unlike a too-large percentage of his counterparts – still has a functioning sense of right and wrong.
While interviewing Mark Cuban on his latest show, the talk turned to Israel and Gaza: specifically that after Israeli troops withdrew, hamas went on a killing spree against Gazan citizens it decided were working with Israel. No discussion, no trial, just “I think you did it, bang, you’re dead”.
At that point Maher made note of the fact that this reality was being ignored by the same college protesters who were out there every day, like trained zombies, screaming about killing when it could be blamed on Israeli soldiers.
His exact words, in the form of a question:
“Where are the protesters? Suddenly, the keffiyeh-wearing college kids are very quiet.”
Bill Maher wins today’s Quote Of The Day honors because, in 13 words, he encapsulated the hypcrisy of these self-righteous, ignorant children; the ones allowing themselves to be manipulated by Israel hating/Jew hating terrorists who would be dancing in the street if Israel were annihilated and every Jew was dead.
I wonder how long it will take for some of them to realize how completely they have become owned-and-operated subsidiaries of these haters; that they have been contorted into supporting exactly the kind of hate they think they are righteously protesting.
And I wonder how many of them will never learn at all.
