THE QUOTE OF THE DAY

Today’s quote comes to us from that deep-thinker and philosophical icon (feel free to wipe my sarcasm from your screen any time you care to), Tim Walz.

While being interviewed by Neera Tanden, CEO of the hard-left Center for American Progress (CAP), he was asked about the fighting between Israel and Iran.

The latter part of his response involved how it could be stopped and prevented in the future.  Here is how he answered:

“Who is the voice in the world that can negotiate some type of agreement in this?   Who holds the moral authority? Who holds the ability to do that, because we are not seen as a neutral actor, and we maybe never were.  I don’t want to tell anybody that.

“I think there’s a lot of people who say you always lean one way in this, but I think there was at least an attempt to be somewhat of  the arbitrator in this.  We saw President Carter do it with Begin and Sadat, we’ve had certain wins along the way that were actually mutually beneficial both ways.

“Now I ask who that is?  I mean, consistently, over and over again, we’re going to have to face the reality, it might be the Chinese.”

It might be the Chinese.  The CHINESE.

There you have it.  Straight from the man who ran for Vice President of the United States.  China has the moral authority that we lack.  CHINA.

During last year’s political campaign, I, and many others, wrote repeatedly about the decades-long love affair Tim Walz has had with the totally repressive, totally freedomless dictatorship that is China.

I award Tim Walz Quote Of The Day honors for proving, again, that we had that 100% right.  And I will end by expressing my relief that, whatever I might think of Donald Trump, his win kept Tim Walz from being a heartbeat away from the presidency.
