Today’s quote comes to us from Fox News legal analyst Gregg Jarrett.
Mr. Jarrett was part of a panel discussing the favorable (comparatively speaking) ruling that will enable Donald Trump to appeal the insane $454 million dollar assessment against him for a “crime” with no complainants, in which the parties involved testified that they would be happy to do business with him again.
The talk turned to Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, who, on Jake Tapper’s CNN show, reacted to the fact that this ruling prevents New York State Attorney General Letitia James from proactively attempting to seize Trump’s assets by saying:
“I actually think that there is risk in not seizing these assets and the open window that exists in him trying to secure these funds through other means. We have seen a lot of interesting transactions happening with TRUTH Social and other means, and there’s a very real risk of political corruption. So, again, I respect the attorney general’s discretion here, but I do think that he should be treated equally under the law.”
My personal reaction to AOCs comment is ??????????????????????????????????
Here’s Jarrett’s:
“I have no idea what she was saying, I don’t really think she does.
“You know, trying to make sense of anything AOC says is sort of a favorite Washington parlor game. She has this uncanny ability to talk incessantly while saying absolutely nothing. And that is because she is hopelessly uninformed, terminally obtuse, and I think just plain ignorant.
“This is the same person a week ago who said RICO or racketeering is not a crime. No sane person takes AOC seriously, which I suppose is why she’s always featured on CNN.”
I award Gregg Jarrett Quote Of The Day honors for combining a dead-on accurate review of Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s, er. capacities, with a way of presenting it that made me laugh out loud.
Thank you, Mr. Jarrett. I needed that.
