Today’s quote, I am ashamed as a U.S. citizen to say, comes to us from the front man for whoever is actually running the country right now, Joe Biden
Biden called Oneida and Shawn Sanders, the parents of Kennedy Sanders, one of the three soldiers (so far) who died as the result of an attack by Iranian-backed terrorist forces. And this is part of what he said to them:
“I know, y’know, everybody, uh, I know there’s nothing anybody can say or do to ease the pain, I’ve been there….my son spent a year in Iraq, that’s how I lost him…”
Apart from the fact that this call was supposed to be about the Sanders family, not Joe Biden, I point out that Biden’s son did not – NOT – die in Iraq.
Unlike Kennedy Sanders, who died due to an enemy attack while deployed as a soldier – an attack Biden still has not done a thing about – Beau Biden died of brain cancer at Walter Reed hospital in Bethesda, Maryland….almost 6 years after leaving Iraq.
Is it possible that Beau Biden’s military service had something to do with his brain cancer? That he contracted cancer in Iraq? Sure it is, in the sense that anything is possible. But no one has produced evidence of any kind that this was the case.
That, however, certainly has not stopped Joe Biden from claiming it as a fact, whenever it has been convenient/politically opportune to do so.
I award Joe Biden Quote Of The Day (dis)honors for, again as he has done so many times in the past, disgustingly exploiting the death of his son to gain pity for himself – in this case, encroaching on the 100% deserved pity for Oneida and Shawn parents.
I wonder if Beau Biden meant as much to Papa Joe/was as useful to him when he was alive.
