Today’s quote comes to us from President Joe Biden. On inauguration day, January 20, 2021, he spoke these words:
“I’m not joking when I say this: If you’re ever working with me and I hear you treat another colleague with disrespect or talk down to someone, I promise you, I will fire you on the spot — on the spot. No ifs ands or buts.
‘Everybody is entitled to be treated with decency and dignity. That’s been missing in a big way the last four years.”
That so, Joe?
Tell you what: now let’s fast-forward to yesterday, and Alex Thompson’s article at (usually pro-Democrat) axios.com. Here is how it starts:
In public, President Biden likes to whisper to make a point. In private, he’s prone to yelling.
- Behind closed doors, Biden has such a quick-trigger temper that some aides try to avoid meeting alone with him. Some take a colleague, almost as a shield against a solo blast.
- The president’s admonitions include: “God dammit, how the f**k don’t you know this?!,” “Don’t f**king bullsh*t me!” and “Get the f**k out of here!” — according to current and former Biden aides who have witnessed and been on the receiving end of such outbursts.
As you can see, the article bleeps out a letter or two here and there. But I am confident you can fill in the blanks.
Beyond the obvious do-as-I-say-not-as-I-do tale this tells, I think the most telling part of the article, which comes later on, is this:
Some Biden aides think the president would be better off occasionally displaying his temper in public as a way to assuage voter concerns that the 80-year-old president is disengaged and too old for the office.
Wow. Is Joe Biden’s current condition so bereft of substance that he needs to curse out his own staff to “prove” that he still has something left — as if it would prove anything other than that he has a foul mouth?
I award Joe Biden Quote Of The Day “honors” for showing us once again, as he has so often in the past, that – in keeping with Mr. Thompson’s censorship of Biden’s tirades – he is just plain full of sh*t.
