Today’s quote comes to us from Joe Biden – with a major assist from the great Bob Newhart (who, at 90 years of age, still occasionally performs).
During his comedic monologues, when someone insulted him Newhart’s answer was “Same to you, fella”.
This, apparently, was not lost on Mr. Biden.
During yesterday’s sad “press conference” – in which he took five questions from people who were clearly selected beforehand, frequently referred to notes, and still went into confused/stammer mode several times anyway…
…Biden made a point of questioning President Trump’s cognitive abilities – at one point saying:
“He doesn’t seem to be cognitively aware of what’s going on.”
This clearly was an attempt to deflect from the fact that so many people, including some Democrats, are now questioning Mr. Biden’s mental acuity – and using the term “cognitive” when doing so.
See, when you use the word back at the other guy, it’s supposed to equal things out. Now it’s supposed to be “Well each of them used the word “cognitive” to describe the other guy, so it’s just politics, instead of the fact that Joe Biden, who constantly loses track of his train of thought, stops cold-in mid-sentence, gets numbers wrong, etc., seems clearly to be in some stage of senility or dementia.
I award Joe Biden – or, more exactly, his writers (because I doubt he thought it up) – of trying the Bob Newhart “same to you, fella” move on President Trump.
Too bad for him that it almost certainly won’t work.

I read an interesting commentary re Bidens cognitive ability. He was asked if he was tested and said something to the effect that he is tested all the time. Why would someone without cognitive decline require to be tested regularly?
I heard him say that and, in fairness to Biden, I took it to mean his being in the public eye every day was an ongoing “test” of his cognitive abilities.
But I don’t know that for a fact. And what he says while being in the public eye is why his cognitive abilities are being questioned.
