Today\’s quote comes to us from the President of Mexico, enrique pena nieto.
Here is what nieto had to say about Texas Governor Rick Perry\’s use of the National Guard, to secure his state\’s border with Mexico, so that the tidal wave of illegal aliens coming across that border might slow down:
“Notonly is it displeasing, but I think it\’s reprehensible. It is an attack on good relations and neighborliness.”
Can you believe the effrontery of this pathetic excuse for a head of state?
One tenth of his ENTIRE COUNRY has come across that border (not a sarcasm or an exaggeration, literally 10% of every man, woman and child), the majority of them illegally, because they would rather live here, in the shadows, hiding from the law and getting whatever handouts or low-end work they can, than live in their own country as citizens with full rights.
And what has enrique pena nieto done about this? Absolutely nothing.
Remember: Mexico is not some destitute third-world country; it is one of the richer countries in the world. Mexico has gold, and silver, and oil, and industry, and agriculture and a huge tourism/hospitality sector, which could – and should – enable the government to give its citizens a chance at decent lives. But instead, it gives them scrapings from the bottom of a toilet bowl, so they flee to the USA illegally. Millions and millions and millions of them.
And, to add insult to injury, nieto allows illegals from Guatemala and Honduras to travel through Mexico illegally….because they will be disgorged, just as illegally, into the United States. He sure as $*%^ wouldn\’t let them stay in Mexico, you can bet on that.
This is the “man” who is giving us lectures on good relations and neighborliness?
I award enrique pena nieto Quote Of The Day honors, for being a world-class, hall-of-fame hypocrite, ingrate and all-around jerk.
How proud the Mexican people must be of him….the ones who haven\’t fled across the border yet, that is.
