Today’s non-quote (this may be the first of a series) does not come to us from Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY). Here is what he did not say:
“As Minority Leader of the Senate, as a moderate Democrat and as a Jew, I cannot in good conscience support the candidacy of Abdulrahman Mohamed El-Sayed as the Democrat Senate candidate in Michigan.
“Despite winning his primary – with a minority of votes, it should be noted – he is far to the left of the Democratic Party in general and me in particular. His positions on key issues do not represent those of our party. This is especially true regarding his clear hatred of Israel and, it seems obvious, Jews in general. As a moderate Democrat and a Jew, therefore, I neither endorse or support his candidacy”.
I award Chuck Schumer Non-quote Of The Day honors for not saying the words that would be forthcoming from a man of honor, of conscience and of integrity.
