THE NOBEL PEACE PRIZE DEDICATION: AN EVEN BIGGER VICTORY FOR TRUMP

To the surprise of no one, Donald Trump did not win this year’s Nobel Peace Prize (which, in fairness, he could not have won, because the cutoff for nominees was January 31 – before the amazing string of peace deals he either was responsible for or deeply involved in.)

But to the surprise of many, I assume, the winner – María Corina Machado of Venezuela – a brave and hugely accomplished fighter for freedom in her currently freedomless country, has dedicated her prize to…

…you guessed it.  Donald Trump.

Here, according to the Nobel Prize Committee is why Ms. Machado won:

Line drawing illustration of Maria Corina Machado, a woman with shoulder-length wavy hair, facing forward in a formal pose, wearing a light-colored top, with yellow highlights on her face and hair. Text overlay at top reads THE NOBEL PEACE PRIZE 2025 in large letters. Below the portrait, text states Maria Corina Machado for her tireless work promoting democratic rights for the people of Venezuela and for her struggle to achieve a just and peaceful transition from dictatorship to democracy, attributed to THE NORWEGIAN NOBEL COMMITTEE. And here are her exact words regarding President Trump:

“We are on the threshold of victory and today, more than ever, we count on President Trump, the people of the United States, the peoples of Latin America, and the democratic nations of the world, as our principal allies to achieve Freedom and democracy.

“I dedicate this prize to the suffering people of Venezuela and to President Trump for his decisive support of our cause!”

What an amazing show of class on the part of Ms. Machado!

Hey, maybe if the Israel/Gaza peace actually comes to fruition, the winner of next year’s Nobel Peace Prize – almost certainly not Donald Trump, I assure you – will dedicate it to him as well.
