AND IN TRUMP’S SPARE TIME (CONT.)

In Trump’s spare time…

…that is, when he is doing something other than securing our borders, making peace deals with warring countries around the world and bringing trillions of dollars of new manufacturing into the country…

…he is also lowering our drug prices.

From Annika Kim Constantino’s article for cnbc.com:

  • President Donald Trump announced an agreement with Pfizer to voluntarily sell its medications at lower prices in the U.S., as his administration pushes to link the nation’s drug prices to cheaper prices paid abroad.
  • Pfizer has agreed to take measures to lower U.S. drug prices, including selling its existing drugs to Medicaid patients at the lowest price offered in other developed nations on a website the administration is calling TrumpRx.gov.
  • As part of the deal, Pfizer has also agreed to a three-year grace period during which the company’s products won’t face pharmaceutical-specific tariffs – as long as the drugmaker further invests in U.S. manufacturing.

And from Stephanie Weaver’s article for yahoo.com:

  • AtraZeneca has agreed to lower drug prices for Medicaid under a deal with the Trump administration, matching the lowest global prices for its drugs.

  • The deal follows a similar agreement with Pfizer and comes after Trump’s executive order pushing drugmakers to voluntarily cut “abusive” U.S. prices.

Wow.

No president in my lifetime that I can think of has accomplished more in his entire 4 or 8 years in office than President Trump has, so far, in the less-than-9 months of his current presidential term.  And he’s got more than three years to go.

Is Donald Trump an egomaniac, a relentless, obnoxious bloviator who exaggerates every accomplishment. Yes he is, and a lot more.

But is he providing an unbelievably extensive string of major accomplishments that benefit this country?  Yes he is.

So tell me:  would you rather put up with Trump – warts and all – and receive/benefit from these accomplishments?  Or would you prefer a less egotistical/bloviating/exaggerating President without these accomplishments?

I don’t consider that a hard decision.
