THE NBA-DONALD STERLING PROBLEM: A $OLUTION?

Believe it or not, there may be a $olution to the battle between the NBA and Los Angeles Clippers owner donald sterling.

But what does this $olution say about the NBA and its reason for forcing sterling out?

If the report at CNN and many other news/sports sites is true, Steve Ballmer, the former CEO of Microsoft, has made a $2 billion offer to buy the Los Angeles Clippers.

The amount clearly seems to be well beyond the team\’s actual value.  But it is not like Ballmer\’s finances would be strained by the deal – he is worth an estimated $20 billion.

So where does this leave the several potential Black purchasers?  In the dust, that\’s where.

Yep, you got it:

-A rich White guy is overbidding every potential Black owner because, heck, he wants to be an NBA owner so who cares how much he pays.

-The rich White guy he is buying the team from winds up with hundreds of millions more dollars than he has any business getting for the team, while simultaneously shutting out the potential Black buyers.

And this is being done in the name of addressing racism, “White privilege”, that sort of thing?

Any doubt why I use a dollar sign to spell $olution?

What a proud moment for the NBA.

Oh, one other thing:  donald sterling, at least so far, says he still won\’t sell.  Does that mean he is fighting against racism and White privilege?  Just asking.
