THE MURDER OF MOHAMMED ABU KHDEIR

Evidence has been uncovered which now makes it clear that Mohammed Abu Khdeir, the Palestinian Arab teenager murdered shortly after the three Jewish teenagers\’ bodies were found, was murdered at the hands of Israelis as an apparent act of vengeance.

Here, excerpted from Yitzhak Benhorin, Attila Somfalvi\’s article at ynetnews.com, is how Israel is reacting to it:

Strongcondemnations for the killing of a Palestinian teen by Jewishextremists were issued both within the Israeli government and byJewish organizations from across the US, amid news of the arrest ofsix suspects in the kidnapping and murder of 16-year-old Mohammed AbuKhdeir, which officials believe was “nationalistic” in nature.

PresidentPeres harshly criticized the violence committed by the suspects, calling the murder of the teen “reprehensible.”

“Ifa Jew kills they will be put to the court like any other criminal, there is no privilege, the law is equal to all and all are equalbefore the law,” Peres said.

“Wewill demand the Terrorist Law we put forward be applied to the boy\’skillers,” (Economy Minister Naftali Bennett) said, calling the murder “heinous”and decrying it as “anti-moral and anti-Jewish.”

FinanceMinister Yair Lapid …”(W)e must all feel shame at the newrecent events.  Israelcannot allow itself to stay quiet in face of the murder of a younginnocent Arab youth at the hands of Jewish murders. We cannotdifferentiate between blood and blood.”

DefenseMinister Moshe Ya\’alon said in a Facebook post that he was “ashamedand appalled at the brutal killing of the boy Mohammed Abu Khdeir,” adding that those behind the murder were “Jewish terrorists.”

“Thedespicable killers do not represent the Jewish people and its valuesand they should be treated as terrorists. We will not allow Jewishterrorists from among us to disrupt the fabric of life among thedifferent sectors in the State of Israel and to harm innocent peoplesimply because they are Arab.”

Does that seem a bit different than the reaction of Palestinian Arabs to the kidnapping and killing of the three Jewish teens? Like 100% different?

No gleeful “hand signals”.  No Israeli leader blessing the killers and telling Israelis it is their duty to kill Arab children.  Nothing but condemnation and calls for the killers to be dealt with as the terrorist murderers they are.

In other words, the polar opposite of what we saw among Palestinian Arabs.

There is a lesson to be learned here about the outlooks and motivations of two groups of people – a lesson that all too many will ignore.

Please don\’t be one of them.
