I doubt you would be surprised to know that the “protesters” in Ferguson, Missouri (and/or wherever else they have drifted in from) erected a memorial to Michael Brown.
But you might be surprised to know that the memorial is dead in the middle of the street. I know I was.
Well, yesterday the memorial was run over by someone. You can read all about it in Jose DelReal\’s article for the Washington Post. Here are pictures – first of the memorial (if you can call that pile of whatever a memorial) and then what was left of it:
No one knows for sure who ran this “memorial” over, and no one knows for sure whether it was done intentionally (though you can bet the “protesters” are saying it was).
What I\’d like to know, though, is why it was in the middle of the street. Even if you think Michael Brown was wrongly shot and killed, that isn\’t where it happened.
The only reason which makes sense to me – not that I agree with it, but that I understand its purpose – is to show the people, especially Ferguson\’s cops, that the “protesters” are in control of things. That they are in charge of when and how Michael Brown will be memorialized. And if they want to put it in the middle of the road, so that all traffic has to find a way around it, that\’s how it will be.
In other words, like everything else that has come forth since the shooting took place, it has nothing to do with Michael Brown…and everything to do with the anarchists and assorted leftists using his corpse as an opportunity to promote themselves and their agenda.
