THE (LATEST) SYRIAN MASSACRE

Fouaa, a small town in northern Syria, has been under siege for years.  Finally there was an opportunity to evacuate.  Buses were found, people were being put into them…

…and a car bomb blew those people to smithereeens.  Over 100 dead.

Which side did it?  I don’t know for sure.  But the sad reality is that just about any side could have done it.  That is the reality of Syria today, and it has been for years.

There are few places on earth more hopeless than this one, where it seems that everyone is taught to hate everyone else, and killing is the national pastime.

What will the outcome eventually be?  No one knows.  What is the solution?  No one knows that either, and no one knows if there is any realistic likelihood of a good one.
