THE COLLUSION COLLAPSE

Here’s a little piece of information from Byron York, writing for the Washington Examiner.  It was published almost a week ago…and, to my knowledge, has yet to be denied.

See if you think it has any bearing on the Mueller investigation:

FBI and Justice Department officials have told congressional investigators in recent days that they have not been able to verify or corroborate the substantive allegations of collusion between Russia and the Trump campaign outlined in the Trump dossier.

The FBI received the first installment of the dossier in July 2016. It received later installments as they were written at the height of the presidential campaign, which means the bureau has had more than a year to investigate the allegations in the document. The dossier was financed by the Hillary Clinton campaign and compiled by former British spy Christopher Steele.

An August 24, 2017 subpoena from the House Intelligence Committee to the FBI and Justice Department asked for information on the bureau’s efforts to validate the dossier. Specifically, the subpoena demanded “any documents, if they exist, that memorialize DOJ and/or FBI efforts to corroborate, validate, or evaluate information provided by Mr. Steele and/or sub-sources and/or contained in the ‘Trump Dossier.'”

According to sources familiar with the matter, neither the FBI nor the Justice Department has provided documents in response to that part of the committee’s subpoena. But in face-to-face briefings with congressional staff, according to those sources, FBI and DOJ officials have said they cannot verify the dossier’s charges of a conspiracy between the Russian government and the Trump campaignhas

Wait a minute.  If Byron York’s information is correct (admittedly that’s still an “if”), it means the document which seems to be at the heart of Mueller’s investigation was then, and remains today, unverified – even after a year of the FBI investigating it.

This puts the Steele document’s credibility roughly at par with the abominable snowman and the Loch Ness monster.

And, if Mr. York’s information is correct, it again begs the question of why this investigation is taking place at all….

…along with the next question, which is why, if Russian collusion is such an issue, and the evidence against Trump continues to elude investigators, the Clinton campaign – with it’s voluminous real evidence (think John and Tony Podesta, Uranium One, $145 million dollars to the Clinton foundation)- has not become the primary target?

It’s about time we got answers to these questions.  When will they be forthcoming?

  • So, you admit coagulation with the Abominable Snowman and the Loch Ness Monster.

How about a Russian Collusion with Catherine the Great (Czarina of All Russias 1762 – 1796).

  • How about first they explain that if collusion isn’t illegal why is this investigation taking place at all.
If no law has been broken why on earth would you be investigating something that isn’t illegal???
We are living in an upside down world.
