Just how deep are the Clinton\’s ties to mainstream media? How many media organizations have kicked in money to the increasingly foul-smelling Clinton Foundation\’s coffers?

NBC Universal, News Corporation, Turner Broadcasting and Thomson Reuters are among more than a dozen media organizations that have made charitable contributions to the Clinton Foundation in recent years, the foundation\’s records show.
The list also includes mass media groups like Comcast, Time Warner and Viacom, as well a few notable individuals, including Carlos Slim, the Mexican telecom magnate and largest shareholder of The New York Times Company, and James Murdoch, the chief operating officer of 21st Century Fox. Both Slim and Murdoch have given between $1 million to $5 million, respectively.
Judy Woodruff, the co-anchor and managing editor of PBS NewsHour, gave $250 to the foundation\’s “Clinton Haiti Relief Fund” in 2010.
Mr. Byers\’ article goes on to provide an extensive list of individuals and donors. It is must reading.
To remind you:
-The Clinton Foundation has amassed a huge amount of money, in great part from foreign countries – including some of the most repressive countries in the world – which clearly want things in exchange for their donations.
-Only a tiny fraction of the money given to The Clinton Foundation is used for charitable purposes (from 2009 – 2012, it was a minuscule 15%).
-Most of the Clinton Foundation money is unaccounted for (again from 2009 – 2012, almost 60% – $290 million out of $500 million – was defined as “other expenses”).
-The Clintons have amassed major fortunes in “speaking fees” in countries and to organizations which contribute to The Clinton Foundation and, it would seem clear, want things in return for their money.
Now that we see how many media venues have forked over big bucks to The Clinton Foundation, how deep their ties to the Clintons are, is there any doubt about why she is getting away with a Royal Candidacy, in which she has answered a total of 8 questions from all media combined – none in the past 3 1/2 weeks?
And is there any doubt about the level of deference we will see in the future as well?
This stinks to high heaven. If there were a place above high heaven the stink from this foundation would pollute that too.
My congratulations to Dylan Byers and politico.com for daring to publish this information…and thereby, at least this one time, being out of the Clintons\’ clutches. Based on Mr. Byers\’ article….and years and years of general observation….such reporting, sadly and shamefully, is the exception rather than the rule.
