Apropos of nothing political…
…if a major league baseball team hit, say, 7 home runs every four games, it would wind up the season with about 283 of them – enough to blow the current record of 264 to smithereens.
The New York Yankees have hit 17 home runs in the last four games. Not 7, but 17.
OK, back to politics, where – for both teams – there are far more errors than home runs.
UPDATE: OK, this is getting ridiculous.
After five innings tonight the Yankees have four more home runs.
That’s 21 in five games – with four more innings to add more.
I don’t know for a fact, but I would be surprised if three or more home runs in five consecutive games, and 21 home runs during a five game stretch, are not all-time major league records.
