THE ABSURDITY OF THE LIE-RS STORY

How absurd is the absolute nonsense spouted by current IRS Commissioner john koskinen?

Read the following excerpt from David Martosko\’s article for the London Daily Mail (where I am getting far better coverage than is generally available in US media) and see for yourself.  (In reading it, please note that I have left in links to the Daily Mail\’s additional stories, which fully flesh out the extent of corruption and deceit which completely pervade this scandal)

Inan openingstatement Mondaynight, Koskinen argued that \’it is not unusual for computers anywhereto fail, especially at the IRS in light of the aged equipment IRSemployees often have to use in light of the continual cuts in itsbudget these past four years.\’

\’SinceJan. 1 of this year, for example,\’ he claimed, \’over 2,000 employeeshave suffered hard drive crashes.\’

Koskinenreferred several times on Monday to a lack of budget resources withinthe IRS, and raised the issue when asked why the agency didn\’t do abetter job keeping a backup of Lerner\’s emails.

Anoutraged Issa insisted that Americans should be able to know \’they\’rebeing honestly treated by your employees, especially somebody at sucha high level. Isn\’t that in fact a priority that should have allowedfor full retention?\’

\’Ifwe had the right resources, there would be a lot of priorities,\’Koskinen shot back.

\’Sothe American people should believe that if they don\’t have theresources to pay their taxes, they shouldn\’t pay their taxes\’ Issajabbed, \’because if the IRS doesn\’t have the resources, it won\’t keeprecords?\’

\’That\’spretty much what you\’re telling us here tonight, is that resourcesare a question of whether or not you retain key documents.\’

WhenTennessee Republican Rep Scott DesJarlais asked Koskinen how muchmoney it would take to replace the IRS\’s computer systems in order toprevent another major data loss, he answered that it would costbetween $10 and $30 million.

Ina tense moment, DesJarlais then reminded him that the IRS paid $89million in bonuses last year, including $1 million to agencyemployees who owed back taxes.

Issaadded that the agency has an $1.8 billion information technologybudget.

At this point, you might be wondering how a pathetic example of what is wrong with Washington DC like john koskinen got his job at the IRS — not to mention his previous job as Chairman of that wonderfully well run organization, Freddy Mac.

Maybe it has something to do with the nearly $100,000 he has contributed over the years to Democrats.

Just a wild guess………
