SOME QUICK QUESTIONS ABOUT DEMOCRATS’ BEHAVIOR DURING TONIGHT’S TRUMP SPEECH

Tonight Donald Trump is making a State Of The Union-type speech before congress.  Democrats, if you believe what has been written in the past several days, intend to disrupt and protest Mr. Trump’s speech while it is taking place – both in general and on the specific issues he will be addressing.

I have some questions.

Do Democrats really think they will benefit their party if they act not like grown-up elected officials, but like those mind-numbed “protesters” who disrupt classes at colleges and universities?  Do they really think the public, other than their dwindling, far-left supporters, will react well to it?

What will they do when President Trump talks about his action on finding/eliminating government inefficiency?  On minimizing illegal border crossings?  A majority of the country supports Trump’s position on both of those issues.  Will Democrats sit sullenly and quietly as he rattles off his efforts at addressing them, thus putting themselves in opposition to most voters?  Will they actively protest his efforts?

And what about the insanity of allowing biological men in women’s sports (and locker rooms, and bathrooms) – which, according to a recent New York Times poll, is opposed by almost 80% of the country, including a majority of Democrats?  As Republicans stand and cheer in support of protecting women, what will they do?  Stay seated?  Actively protest?  How do they think the country will react?

I have more questions like the ones above.  I suspect you do too.  But, for now, let’s sit back and wait to see if the Democrat Party hates Donald Trump so much that it is actually willing to commit what amounts to political suicide tonight.

We’ll talk about it tomorrow.
