Twenty eight people are dead – 20 restaurant patrons, 2 police officers and, we are told, 6 radical Islamist terrorists.
Survivors tell us that the terrorists demanded each patron recite verses from the Koran. If they could not, it was assumed they were not muslim and they were hacked and stabbed to death.
With this in mind, here is President Obama’s entire statement on the massacre:
Do you see any mention of radical Islam there? Nope. In the World Of Obama, radical Islam does not exist, no matter how plainly it identifies itself.
Do you see any part of that statement distinguishing between radical Islamists, and Islamic people who oppose such terrorism? Nope. No need to. Since there is no acknowledgement that this massacre was done in the name of Islam, there is no need to note that there are Islamic people who simply want to live their lives, who despise what ISIS and other such groups are communicating about their religion.
Do you see anything but a sanitized, meaningless, go-through-the motions blob of clichés?
Do you see any promise of action on our part…other than the usual cut-and-paste blather career diplomats can put together in their sleep?
That’s our President, folks. That is the person who is supposed to be leading the free world. Protecting us.
I count the seconds until he is out of the White House.
