As a group, Black voters supported Barack Obama almost unanimously (well over 90% both times).

Are a great many of them doing so specifically and exclusively because Mr. Obama is also Black?  Impossible to tell, given that the vast majority of Black citizens vote Democrat no matter who the candidate is.

But if you juxtapose Black voting for Mr. Obama with how Black people have fared during the time he has been President, you want to cry.

Excerpted from Crystal Wright\’s latest commentary at

PresidentBarack Obama endorsed the #Black Lives Matter movement “assomething we have to take seriously.” Even though after seven years, Obama hasdone nothing to improve the lives of black Americans, his most loyal,boot-licking constituents. In contrast, Obama helped give homosexuals gaymarriage and illegal aliens, amnesty.

Blacks are poorer, more criminalized and uneducated than they were before the first blackpresident was elected in 2008. Congressional Black Caucus ChairmanG.K. Butterfield admitted as much, lamenting that in 2015 theblack race finds itself in “a state of emergency.”

Butterfield said:

– 25% of blackhouseholds live below the poverty line, as compared to eight percent for whitehouseholds.

– The unemploymentrate of African Americans has consistently been twice as high as for whitesover the last 50 years.

– For every $100 inwealth of a white household, the black household only has $6 in wealth.

Yet suddenly, afterhis presidency has nearly come to an end, Obama wants to address the “real” problem plaguing blacks, who voted over 90% for him in 2008 and 2012. After aWhite House forum on criminal justice, Obama said:

“I think thereason that the organizers used the phrase \’Black Lives Matter\’ was not becausethey were suggesting nobody else\’s lives matter. Rather, what they weresuggesting was there is a specific problem that\’s happening in theAfrican-American community that\’s not happening in other communities. And thatis a legitimate issue that we\’ve got to address.”

Obama is correct. There is a serious problem happening in the black race in America and it\’s notpolice officers killing black men, as he falsely implied.

The real problemis black men killing each other and committing more violent crime than whites. And this is compounded by the collapse of the black family. Citing data formthe Children\’s Defense Fund, black journalist JuanWilliams noted that “Murders with guns are the No. 1 cause ofdeath for African-American men between the ages of 15 and 34.”

In other words, President Obama, apart from the pride his being a Black President no doubt elicits among many Black people, has done nothing – and I do mean nothing – for them.  As a group, Blacks started behind the 8-ball when President Obama took office, and now they are barely on the table at all.

But – and this is the saddest part of all – if Mr. Obama were to run for a third term, well over 90% of all Blacks would vote for him again anyway.

As I said earlier, you want to cry.
