We all know – well, most of us do – that Barack Obama and his pals lied to our faces when they told us that, under ObamaCare we could keep our current insurance plans, we could keep our doctors and that the average family would save $2,500 a year in premiums.
But how many people know that not only won\’t they be saving money with ObamaCare, they will be paying more – a lot more?

Healthinsurance premiums are showing the sharpest increases perhaps everaccording to a survey of brokers who sell coverage in the individualand small group market. Morgan Stanley\’s healthcare analystsconducted the proprietary survey of 148 brokers. The April surveyshows the largest acceleration in small and individual group rates inany of the 12 prior quarterly periods when it has been conducted.
Theaverage increases are in excess of 11% in the small group market and12% in the individual market. Some state show increases 10 to 50times that amount. The analysts conclude that the “increases arelargely due to changes under the ACA.”
Thehikes in the small group market, on average, have been largest forthe Blues plans, which reported average rate increases of almost 16%year-over-year for renewing contracts. In the individual market, thepublicly traded health plans had higher increases than the blues, atan average of more than 11%, and private and not-for-profit plans hadthe highest average increases overall at 13%.
Forthe individual insurance market (plans sold directly to consumers);among the ten states seeing some of the sharpest average increasesare: Delaware at 100%, New Hampshire 90%, Indiana 54%, California53%, Connecticut 45%, Michigan 36%, Florida 37%, Georgia 29%,Kentucky 29%, and Pennsylvania 28%.
If you are at all surprised that Obama & Co. have lied again, then shame on you. How many times do these people have to lie to our faces before some of us recognize that they are liars and stop believing them?
I am especially fascinated that some of the largest increases are in some of the bluest states: Delaware, California, Connecticut, Michigan and Pennsylvania. Is this going to be a wake-up call for some of the yellow-dog Democrats there, or will they still buy whatever the next lie, the lame Obama excuse is anyway?
I guess we\’ll find out on election day, won\’t we?
