OBAMACARE SAVINGS

Ken Berwitz

Hey, we finally found those elusive savings that President Obama and his fellow Democrats assured us would come from ObamaCare.

Problem is, the savings are realized by gutting ObamaCare.

Excerpted from Sarah Ferris\’s article at thehill.com:

A GOP-led effort to repeal the biggest parts of ObamaCarewould cost about $42 billion less than previously expected, saving more than ahalf-trillion dollars over a decade, the congressional budget scorekeeper saidMonday.

Legislation to gut most of ObamaCare\’s mandates and taxes, known as Restoring Americans\’ Healthcare Freedom Reconciliation Act, wouldreduce the deficit by $516 billion over 10 years, according to theCongressional Budget Office (CBO).

Wait a minute.  That can\’t be right.

Weren\’t we all told that ObamaCare would provide a huge savings?  Wasn\’t the average family going to have $2,500 a year more in its pocket?

So how can it be that by gutting this money-saving wonder, the CBO estimates we will save $516 billion dollars – that\’s more than half a trillion – over the next ten years.

This makes no sense at all.

Unless…

…the claims that ObamaCare would be a money saver were absolute unadulterated lies and, in reality, it is costing us a huge fortune instead.

Nah, that couldn\’t be.  Barack Obama would never lie to us, would he?

Excuse me, I have to finish this blog entry because I\’m heading off to my shovel-ready job.
