Given my earlier blog\’s reliance on one ObamaCare poll, I thought I would follow it up – and buttress my point – with a great many more of them.
I just went to realclearpolitics.com and looked at every poll through March (the month before Democrats\’ strategy of proclaiming the 8 million sign-up mark as a demonstration of what a great success ObamaCare is) and April (the month after ObamaCare\’s 8 million sign-ups were announced…and media fell all over each other to celebrate the news). Here is what I found:
–President Obama approval rating: On average Barack Obama had a -10.74% approval/disapproval rating throughout March (i.e. 10.74% more disapproval than approval). Throughout April it averaged -10.0% – a statistically insignificant difference of less than 1%.
–ObamaCare approval rating: Throughout March, ObamaCare had an average approval/disapproval rating of -13.12%. Throughout April it averaged 11.83% – a statistically insignificant difference of less than 1.5%.
Bottom line: even after this so-called great news, and a huge torrent of positive media spin about it, the numbers remained virtually unchanged.
Asking again, as I have so often in the past: does anyone seriously think Democrats in competitive races will be running on ObamaCare this year?
