This astonishing excerpt comes from yesterday\’s aricle by Cynthia Blank for Reuters:
Israeli Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu\’s “interference” in US affairs is \’unprecedented,\’ US President Barack Obama asserted during an interview which will air in full Sunday night.
Speaking to CNN interviewer Fareed Zakaria, Obama addressed tensions between himself and his Israeli counterpart over the Iran nuclear deal, arguing that Netanyahu\’s opposition to the deal is wrong.
That so, Mr. President?
I have two issues for you to address:
1: Did you think it was “interference” when Mexico\’s President, enrique nieto pena demanded immigration reform so that the millions of his own citizens who jumped the border, and now live illegally in the USA, should get full rights and full benefits here?
From last year\’s incredible article by Julia Symmes of Reuters:
Mexican President Enrique Pena Nieto said he is “indignant” at the United States\’ deportation of Mexican migrants and described U.S. lawmakers as demonstrating a “lack of conscience” in failing to pass immigration reform.
In a television interview aired late on Wednesday Pena Nieto said he and U.S. President Barack Obama discussed the issue during their meeting at a North American leaders\’ summit held last week in Mexico.
“Yes it makes me indignant, and it makes Mexicans indignant,” Pena Nieto said in the interview, when asked whether deportations angered him.
“There\’s a lack of conscience, something which shouldn\’t only alert and worry Mexicans, it should also worry the American government and they should take up the issue,” said Pena Nieto.
Pena Nieto added that he sees a willingness on the part of the Obama administration to change immigration laws, and that reform which provides a path to citizenship should “have the backing and aid of the various political forces” in the United States.
A bill that would have provided ways for the approximately 11 million immigrants living in the United States illegally to obtain citizenship recently stalled in the Republican-controlled U.S. House of Representatives.
This is the same enrique pena nieto whose government issues manuals to illegals, telling them what to do if they are caught by the border patrol…so they can get status in the USA more easily.
Let\’s review:
-Israel\’s Prime Minister Netanyahu, whose country is in mortal danger if Iran develops nuclear weapons, implores congress to reject a deal which, he believes, will allow Iran to do just that.
-Mexico\’s President nieto tells us he is “indignant” over our immigration policy, says we are without a conscience, demands – not implores, but demands – that it change….and specifically attempts to subvert our current immigration policy (the one you are ignoring) with written manuals for illegals so they know how to get around it.
And you call Netanyahu\’s impassioned plea to congress an “unprecedented” interference?
What are we supposed to conclude from this, other than that you hate Netanyahu and are, at best, indifferent to Israel\’s very real concerns about Iran?
2: Am I mistaken, or didn\’t you move heaven and earth to try and defeat Prime Minister Netanyahu in his re-election bid earlier this year – including sending Jeremy Bird, your key online operative, to work toward that end?
How do you have the gall to accuse Benjamin Netanyahu of interfering in USA affairs, after you did that?
There is one, and only one, way that Barack Obama gets away with this. Media complicity.
As long as Barack Obama\’s fawning admirers in mainstream media continue to prop him up by burying facts like these, he will come out looking just fine to the large-and-growing low information crowd: the people who mindlessly accept what they are told by the “journalists” who continue to run interference for him.
And, after 6 1/2 years of this disgrace, I have no expectation that it will change for the year and a half that is left.
