This morning’s Today Show had an NBC News report on President Trump’s Phoenix Rally, and the violent antifa thugs who made life hell for anyone daring to go there and here him speak.
A smiling Kristen Welker assured us that, while there were “protesters” and they “threw rocks and bottles” at attendees, “the good news” was that “there were only four arrests”. This was accompanied by video of the violence taking place, which was committed by dramatically more than “four people”.
What did NBC call White supremacists and neo-nazis last week? It called them White supremacists and neo-nazis.
What did NBC call “antifa” thugs and anarchists last week, and again this morning? It called them “protesters”.
And I’m supposed to be happy that, in their black attire and masks, while physically attacking people who did nothing but exercise their right to free speech, only 4 were arrested? How about 400?
If black-clad, masked right wingers violently attacked anyone, let alone people coming to hear the President of the United States, what do you think NBC – and every other network and every major newspaper – would be saying about it? That they were nothing more than “protesters”?
And these overtly partisan journalistic jokes object to being called out for “fake news”?
If they don’t like it, how about they don’t do it?
