ESPN, which has become something of a lightning rod for left wing correctness, has done it again.
One of its announcers, Robert Lee, was scheduled to work a football game – University of Virginia vs. William & Mary – this weekend.
But he was pulled from the game. Why? Because it was being played in Virginia, and his name is Robert Lee. Get it? Like Robert E. Lee. So the geniuses at ESPN figured that would be offensive in some way.
Not that it matters, but Robert Lee is a very common name – according to howmanyofme.com, there are 11,518 of them in the United States. And this particular Robert Lee has no familial attachment of any kind to the civil war general of that name.
But he did have that name, didn’t he?
In keeping with this quality of reasoning, I would like to suggest that ESPN immediately change its name, because those White supremacists and neo-nazis in Charlottesville? Their two names have every letter of ESPN. In order.
I’m starting to think that ESPN stands for Extra Special Politically Nuts.

Who is running that station???
They are bat*hit crazy.
