MICHAEL FLYNN: MUELLER’S LOW-HANGING FRUIT

Robert Mueller, increasingly frustrated over his investigation of collusion between the Trump Campaign and Russia going nowhere, is now putting the wood to Michael Flynn.

According to an article at ABC News, Mueller and Flynn’s people may now be discussing “a plea deal”.

For what?

To summarize:

-It is over a year since allegations of this supposed collusion were floated.  And with Democrats working triple-overtime to make the accusation stick, not one bit of hard evidence has yet to surface.

-The apparent basis for appointing Mueller Independent Counsel – the dossier put together by foreign national Christopher Steele, using Russian nationals as the source for his claims, and paid for by the Clinton campaign – remains entirely unverified, unsubstantiated, and therefore meaningless.

-The only serious indictment made by Mueller, that of Paul Manafort, concerns his activities from 2006 to 2014 – years before the Trump campaign took place.

So what have Mueller and his Democrat-stacked staff (several of them specifically contributed to the Clinton campaign) got left?  To go after Michael Flynn – who managed to make it through 24 days on the Trump team before Trump fired him because he lied about his associations with Russia.

Wait a minute:  if Trump fired him for his associations with Russia, what will those associations have to do with Trump collusion with Russia?  It’s a contradiction of logic.

But, on the other hand, since Michael Flynn appears to be an easy target and you’ve got nothing else going, why not?  Mainstream media, most of which are hungry to put nails in the Trump political coffin, will be happy to report this as if it were significant progress in the collusion case.  So you do it…and you’re a hero to them.

The truth?  This investigation, borne out of what seems clearly to be an illegal leak of information by a disgruntled, vindictive ex-employee, James Comey, and based on opposition research which still has yet to be verified in any way, should never have started in the first place.

If all Mueller and his DNC-committee staff can come up with in a half-year is Manafort, Flynn and a fourth-tier nothing like Carter Page, he should pack it in right now…or it should be packed in for him.

  • Flynn is the logical choice for Mueller to go after. The others in Mueller’s sights are very wealthy and can afford to fight any charges. Flynn is not so wealthy and most likely will cut any deal Mueller offers.
