MARILYN MOSBY: AN UNFUNNY JOKE

I would call Baltimore State\’s Attorney marilyn mosby a joke.  But jokes are supposed to be funny.  And marilyn mosby is not funny.  Not at all.

Excerpted from Kevin Rector\’s article in today\’s Baltimore Sun:

Baltimore State\’s Attorney Marilyn Mosby plans to seek a protective order that would block the release of Freddie Gray\’s autopsy report and other “sensitive” documents as she prosecutes the six police officers involved in his arrest.

Mosby told The Baltimore Sun that prosecutors “have a duty to ensure a fair and impartial process for all parties involved” and “will not be baited into litigating this case through the media.”

But an attorney for one of the officers said the effort shows that “there is something in that autopsy report that they are trying to hide.”

“Mrs. Mosby is the one who did an announcement discussing what she said the evidence was in a nationally televised speech,” said Ivan Bates, who represents Sgt. Alicia White. “Now that it is time to turn over the evidence, to ask for a protective order is beyond disingenuous.

In other words, marilyn mosby will work zealously to prevent “litigating this case through the media”…..as long as she is the one doing it and every one else is prevented from having the tools to respond to her.

Maybe this would be a good time to remind you that marilyn mosby\’s husband, Chuck Mosby, is the Baltimore City Councilperson who represents the district Freddie Gray lived in, and who therefore might suffer if the Baltimore 6 (the officers being charged in Freddie Gray\’s death) got a fair shake.  And that Freddie Gray\’s family attorney, William Murphy Jr., not only was a major contributor to mosby\’s election campaign, but was then part of her transition team.

If ever there were a situation where a state\’s attorney should recuse herself — and, if you\’re asking me, then apologize profusely and resign from office – this is the one.

Her incompetence, her dishonesty and her arrogant disregard for the police officers being charged, have hopelessly compromised whatever case there was against them in the first place.

Enough.  More than enough.  Get her out of there.
