It has been a while since I posted an installment of this series.  Not because there wasn\’t plenty to write about, but because too many more important issues were higher up on the food chain.

This latest example, however, cannot go unreported.

“True Blood” is an HBO series about vampires (as an unrelated aside, can someone please explain to me what the re-emergence of fascination with vampires is all about?  Did someone pull the wooden stake from Bela Lugosi\’s heart?).

Without commenting on overall quality of the series, let me post this excerpt from an article at breitbart.com, about what is in one of the episodes – the only revision being that, unlike breitbart I will not censor the language:

WhileHBO\’s Award winning “True Blood” a popular vampire dramahas had a long-running narrative with the bad guys cast as southernconservative politicians, last night\’s episode took it a stepfarther, calling Ted Cruz supporters assholes and offensivelyreferring to conservative woman in eveningware as “republicunts”

Whentwo of the main characters, vampires Eric Northman and Pam DeBeaufort, are planning to crash a fictional fundraiser for Sen. TedCruz (R-TX) held at the George W. Bush Presidential Center in Dallasthey are warned “They only let in assholes.”

Whiledressing for the event in cowboy hats and Western evening attire PamDe Beaufort says “Oh my God I\’m a republicunt”

And there\’s more.

In addition to what you just read, the producers of “True Blood” actually contacted Sarah Palin and offered her a cameo role in the episode – presumably to provide an association with her and “republicunts”.  Ms. Palin was smart enough to decline.

Suppose this were a drama that regularly vilified the left.  Suppose two of the characters intended to crash a fundraiser for Hillary Clinton and were told “They only let in assholes”.   Suppose a female character dressed in clothes laden with buttons supporting Obama/protesting deportation of illegal aliens and said “Oh my God I\’m a democunt”.  Suppose the producers tried to sucker Ms. Clinton into a cameo role on the episode.  Do you think there would be protests?  Do you think the so-called “women\’s groups” would go after them?

Well, don\’t expect any of that here.  After all, we\’re talking about insults to the right, not the left, which makes them ok.  And the gutter language about women is aimed at Republican women, so that\’s ok too, because they don\’t count.  No need for women\’s groups to get upset over a woman being characterized with one of the most offensive words used to describe her genitalia.  Republican women aren\’t really women, are they?

There you have it, folks.  Left wing “civility” at its finest.

That\’s worth keeping in mind the next time you see a protest from one or another of these hypocritical frauds.
