I congratulate nurse kaci hickox for her humanitarianism in going to West Africa and administering to people who contracted the ebola virus.
But I condemn nurse kaci hickox for her lack of humanitarianism in coming home after doing so, with a fever (which is typical of people with the ebola virus), and then raising such holy hell about being quarantined that Governor Christie – with the proviso that she didn\’t take public transportation – allowed her to get the hell out of New Jersey and back to Maine…where, if she has ebola, it will be that state\’s problem.
Obviously hickox cares a lot more about West Africans than she does about her family, friends, and other U.S. citizens.
And don\’t parrot back to me her line that the fever was “stress-related”:
-hickox is a nurse, not a doctor; she is not a diagnostician, even if her ego allows her to think she is.
-And even if she were loaded with stress at the time, she had no way of knowing whether the fever was stress-related or because she had contracted ebola.
I do not wish ebola on anyone, and hope that kaci hickox does not have it. But if she is, in fact, ebola-free, it will not be because her behavior has been anything other than beyond-belief obnoxious – and dangerous to boot. It will be nothing more than dumb luck – for her, and anyone who comes in contact with her.
I hope we never hear her name again.
