Joe Biden\’s jumpingright into Hillary Clinton\’s sandbox-and New York Democrats are eager to seehim play.
Biden\’s Thursday swingthrough New York, home of the Clinton campaign headquarters and the state sheonce represented, is perhaps the most aggressive stop of the coy pre-campaignhe\’s running.
He starts the daytalking about women\’s issues with a rape kit backlog event (where he\’ll appearwith Attorney General Loretta Lynch, whose Justice Department is probingClinton\’s email server use), then use an appearance with Stephen Colbert toshowcase his unscripted style, something many see as his strongest asset in apotential challenge to Clinton.
Between, he\’ll hit herwhere it really hurts — her standing with liberal Democrats. Joined by NewYork Gov. Andrew Cuomo, as eager a Clinton supporter as there is among electedofficials, Biden will headline an event to support a new $15 minimum wage for fastfood workers, a major cause among progressives.
If that isn\’t running, then what is it?
