Not so long ago, Hillary Clinton was way ahead in Michigan, and easily moving toward a win there, on her way to the Democrat nomination…or so the so-called “pundits” told us.
Well, she lost Michigan.
Not so long ago, Hillary Clinton was way ahead in Ohio, Missouri and her former home state of Illinois.
Well, the latest polls show that she may lose one, two or all three of them.
Excerpted from Jessie Byrnes’ article at thehill.com:
All three states now look like toss-ups, with the PPP poll showing Sanders trailing Clinton by just 5 points, 46 percent to 41 percent, in Ohio.
…several polls in Ohio at the beginning of the month showed Clinton with a 20- to 30-point lead over the Vermont senator.
The race has drawn much closer since Sanders’s surprise win in Michigan; he also trailed by double-digits in that state weeks before its primary.
In Illinois, Clinton gets 48 percent in the PPP survey compared to 45 percent for Sanders.
In Missouri, Sanders gets 47 percent to 46 percent for Clinton, according to PPP.
Just how precipitous is Ms. Clinton’s decline in voting strength?
–In Ohio, PPP’s previous poll, taken just one week ago, had her at 56% to Sanders’ 35% – a lead of 21%. CNN had her up 30%. Now it is down to 5%;–In Illinois, there is no recent PPP poll to compare. But, earlier this month, the Chicago Tribune had her at 67% to Sanders’ 25% – a whopping 42% lead. Now it is down to 3%;–In Missouri, where just one poll other than PPP has been conducted recently, Ms. Clinton was ahead 47% – 40% last week. Now Sanders leads by 1%.
The good news for Ms. Clinton is that she appears – appears – to have insurmountable leads in Florida and North Carolina. But with drops like this in three other states, who knows?
Bottom line: If Sanders can be competitive or even win in three of these states, he’s still in the hunt. And if he continues to generate enthusiasm from voting blocs Democrats consider imperative to their national chances, how much longer before some of the super-delegates currently committed to Hillary Clinton start thinking very carefully about switching loyalties?
Is it going to happen? I wouldn’t bet on it. But could it happen? Yes, it could.
Tomorrow night is going to be very, very interesting.

. . . . . . . . . . Talk Show Host Mark Simone (WABC 770 AM — in NYC) points out that Hillary’s HEALTH may be an issue: 1) She has a dry, hacking cough, which sometimes indicates heavy medication. . . . . 2) She may be exhibiting elements of a stroke: forgetfulness, losing her train of thought, wearing a specific, thick lens eyeglass that is ONLY prescribed for people recovering from certain types of stroke . . . . . . . . . . .
Zeke – It wouldn’t surprise me a bit. I’ve been smelling health issues there for months and months.
