IRAN AND HEZBOLLAH: NO LONGER TERRORISTS?

I wish I were making this up.  But I\’m not:

From the Times Of Israel (and numerous other sources):

Anannual report delivered recently to the US Senate by JamesClapper, the director of National Intelligence, removed Iran andHezbollah from its list of terrorism threats, after years in whichthey featured in similar reports.

Theunclassified version of the Worldwide Threat Assessment of the USIntelligence Communities, datedFebruary 26, 2015 (PDF), noted Iran\’s efforts to combat Sunniextremists, including those of the ultra-radical Islamic State group, who were perceived to constitute the preeminent terroristthreat to American interests worldwide.

Indescribing Iran\’s regional role, the report noted the IslamicRepublic\’s “intentions to dampen sectarianism, buildresponsive partners, and deescalate tensions with Saudi Arabia”….

This borders on insanity.

Iran still ends meetings by chanting “Death To America”. Iran still is on record as intending to “wipe Israel off the face of the map”.  Iran is still exporting terrorism around the world.  By what stretch of logic is this no longer a terrorist entity?

And what, exactly, has hezbollah, funded by Iran, done to be removed from the terrorist list?  Are its objectives – the eradication of Israel primary among them – different now than they were last year, or the year before, or the year before that?

Haven\’t the Obama administration\’s unbroken string of foreign policy disasters damaged the USA, Israel and western civilization in general enough?  Must it do this as well?

We still have almost two years of Barack Obama left.  Is there any way of moving time forward?
