So how is the nuclear “deal” with Iran, struck by President Obama and Secretary of State Kerry working out?
This opening paragraph, from Jon Gambrell\’s article at yahoo.com, should give you an idea:
Iran test-launched two ballistic missiles Wednesday emblazoned with the phrase “Israel must be wiped out” in Hebrew, Iranian media reported, in a show of power by the Shiite nation as U.S. Vice President Joe Biden\’s visited Jerusalem.
Isn\’t that great? Isn\’t this “deal” – the one touted by President Obama and Secretary of State Kerry, which is supposed to make the countries threatened by Iran, most notably Israel, much safer, working out just perfectly?
What brilliant negotiators Mr. Obama and Mr. Kerry must have been, to provide the countries threatened by Iran – Israel and every Arab state in the gulf, among others – such insulation from attack. Isn\’t it wonderful that Iran is using the $150 or so billion dollars in freed-up assets the “deal” hands them, to engage in nothing but peaceful pursuits?
Enjoy the above fantasy? OK, now a return to sanity:
OF COURSE Iran was going to do this. OF COURSE Iran would not change its activities or objectives even one little bit – certainly not regarding Israel.
Iran has ignored every agreement and every International norm of behavior since the lunatics took over in 1979. Who in their right mind could possibly think they would behave any differently now?
And anyone who believes that it will be abiding by the nuclear part of this deal, is desperately in need of a crash course in recent history …along with intense remedial reality training.
How sad, how tragic, how dangerous, that two of the people most in need of the lesson in history and reality, are our President and our Secretary of State.
I count the seconds until both of them are out of office.
