Excerpted from Jana Winter\’s terribly unsettling exclusive for Fox News (That\’s right. Fox News. Where did you think this would be coming from? The major networks? MSNBC?). Please pay special attention to the paragraph I\’ve put in bold print:
McALLEN,Texas – Life jackets of all sizes and the occasional punctured raftare strewn along the banks of the Rio Grande, just south of Mission,Texas, where a relentless onslaught of illegal immigrants eagerlysurrender to beleaguered Border Patrol agents around the clock.
It\’sa cycle for which there is no end in sight.
“You\’regoing to be out here a long time,” Fernando, an El Salvadoranchild, told FoxNews.com shortly after surrendering to Border Patrolauthorities after midnight Saturday. “There are thousands of us.”
Withmost of the men and women charged with securing the Mexican borderbusy processing some of the 60,000 illegal immigrants who have madethe harrowing – and sometimes deadly – journey to the American borderin the past nine months, only a handful of Border Patrol agents drivethe riverside loop in a small town called Granjeno just south ofMission, in the Rincon peninsula.
Thelife jackets helped many make it across the Rio Grande from Reynosa, the Mexican city across the water from Mission, just west of McAllen.Sources say they come over on rafts ferried by the so-called”coyotes,” the human smugglers whose means of transport arerendered useless whenever discovered by the Border Patrol. Many don\’tmake it across the river; multiple sources became emotional whenrecounting their discoveries of small, lifeless bodies washed upalong the riverbank.
How many have died trying to get here because they understand that, if they make it, the President of the United States has made it more than clear they\’re probably home free? No one can possibly know for sure. But a good bet is that there are a ton more than number of bodies which have washed up on shore.
And how many have died coming here on land? How many girls have been raped and left to die along the way – in addition to the ones who were raped while “successfully” trekking across the border?
Remember, the “coyotes” referenced in Ms. Winter\’s article do not give a damn about who lives or dies. They give a damn about getting the money in their hands, after which if some of the human cartage they promise to get to our border don\’t make it, they could not care less.
Just human collateral damage. Nothing more.
A lot has been said in this blog (and many, many others) about the damage a tidal wave of illegals will wreak on the United States – with a special level of damage to Black legals, a disproportionate number of whom will now be competing with the illegals within the same job market.
But let\’s never forget the death toll it is creating – a toll that would not exist if the Obama administration made it clear our borders are real and we will not allow illegals to stay.
All the political spin and all the Accomplice Media in the world will not erase this ugly stain.
