…but, either way, it’s too good not to share
One of my facebook friends sent me a picture which, he says, is was on ebay, as a:
“Unique Vintage Navajo Moose 925 Sterling Silver Pendant, Marking 0.8 grams”.
And what does the “Navajo Moose” look like?
This:

For my Jewish readers, and my non-Jewish readers who know a few Jews, feel free to shake your head and laugh at will.
For my non-Jewish friends who are not often among Jews, what you see, reading from right to left, are the Hebrew letters “chet” and “yud”:
They spell the word “Chai”, which means “life” (which, since Hebrew letters have numerical value, is also the number 18).
Jews – and some non-Jews, for good luck – where it on necklaces or sometimes bracelets.
But if you are unaware of this, I guess “Navajo Moose” is as good a description as any.
Personally, I see a goat with its head hung in shame.

I have the necklace which was handed down to me from my Father [MHRP] Who received it from his Father [MHRP]. It is the most cherished piece of jewelry I have.
Very nice family story. But give me a hint: what is MHRP?
May His Soul Rest in Peace.
Alav HaShalom
aha. Thank you.
I had no idea your father was Jewish
