Ken Berwitz
From Stephen Braun\’s article for the Associated Press:
As secretary of state, Hillary Clinton intervened in arequest forwarded by her son-in-law on behalf of a deep-sea mining firm to meetwith her or other State Department officials after one of the firm\’s investorsasked Chelsea Clinton\’s husband for help setting up such contacts, according tothe most recently released Clinton emails.
The lobbying effort on behalf of Neptune Minerals Inc. camewhile Clinton – now the leading Democratic presidential candidate – wasadvocating for an Obama administration push to win Senate approval for asweeping Law of the Sea Treaty. The pact would have aided U.S. mining companiesscouring for minerals in international waters, but the Republican-dominatedSenate blocked it.
Does this reek of corruption? Favoritism? Self-interest for her family rather than the best decisions for our country? Yes, of course it does.
That is the Hillary Clinton we have seen over and over again in this blog. The Hillary Clinton the Associated Press – to its credit – is writing about….
….and the Hillary Clinton, I have virtually no doubt, on whose behalf mainstream media will largely ignore this story.
Why would they do such a thing?
Because they may think they are journalists, their business cards may say thay are journalists, but in reality they are paid propagandists, advocating for the candidate they support – which, I assure you, is Hillary Clinton over any Republican.
And if you think I\’m overreacting, that I\’m wrong about this — then, over the next couple of days, check the degree of coverage the story you just read is given – while keeping in mind that, as an Associated Press release – it is in the hands of every mainstream media venue. See if you find it at all. And, if you do, see if it gets more than “and in other news” treatment.
I\’ll take bets on this one. You game?
