HILLARY CLINTON AT THE BLACK AND BROWN FORUM

Ken Berwitz

Did you know there was such a thing as a “Black And Brown Forum”?

Well, there is, it is held in Iowa, and the three Democrat candidates for President all attended it.

I thought you might be interested in the following excerpts – from an article at the decidedly Hillary-friendly NBC News – detailing what Hillary Clinton, in particular, told the forum:

At the Iowa Black and Brown Forum, broadcast on the Fusionnetwork, Democratic front-runner Hillary Clinton broke with President Obama tocall for a stop to Department of Homeland Security deportation raids targetingundocumented Central American migrants.

They “have sown fear and division in immigrantcommunities across the country” in recent weeks, she said. Last month,Clinton said she had “real concerns” about the raids but did not goas far as she did Monday night.

Clinton could not answer whether she\’d deport children aspresident, saying it was more complicated than a yes or no answer. Whenpressed, Clinton simply said children would receive “due process.”

And in a comment that the Sanders campaign is already lookingto exploit, Clinton acknowledged that she voted for border security, but saidit included funding for a fence not a wall.

Let\’s review:

-Clinton called for a stop to deportation raids on illegal Latinos…but last month she did not go this far.  In other words, her position changed and became easier on illegals when speaking to Black and Brown people.

What will her position be if the next audience is not comprised of “black and brown” people; if it is primarily White?  Your guess is as good as mine;

-Clinton would not answer whether she would deport illegal children who crossed the border either alone, only that they would  “receive due process”.  This, of course, could include deportation, but Clinton would not say those words.

(A few questions at this point:  Where did they come from?  Who sent them?  What happened to them on the way?  How many never made it and were left dead before hitting the border?)

What will she say about illegal children if her next audience is not comprised of “black and brown” people; it is primarily White?  Your guess is as good as mine.

-Clinton acknowledged voting for border security, but said it was only for a fence, not a border – i.e. something that would be easy to get past versus something that would be hard to get past.

What is that supposed to mean?

And what will her position be if the next audience is not comprised of “black and brown” people; if it is primarily White?  Your guess is as good as mine.

That is the real Hillary Clinton.  Which is to say, not real at all.  Everything is tailored to whomever she is talking to at that moment, and always subject to change for the next group to hear.

As authentic as a ten dollar bill…with Sponge Bob Square Pants\’s picture on the front.
