Why would the organizers of a Gay Pride march hit for such a daily double of amazing left wing stupidity?
Maybe they\’re just stupid.

Organizersof San Francisco\’s pride weekend festivities have yanked thewelcome mat away from the National Guard, voting to ban the Guardfrom setting up a booth at the festival.
Thedecision comes at the same time Pride organizers are allowing acontroversial Army private who leaked military secrets to be honorarygrand marshal.
Themilitary\’s current ban on transgender service members servingopenly, minority recruitment tactics, and sexual assault scandalswere factors in the board\’s decision, Pride Executive DirectorGeorge Ridgely told LGBT news weekly Bay Area Reporter.
Criticsof the decision see the move as short-sighted. “We find this to bereally particularly disturbing because only LGBT people in thecity of San Francisco are being affected by this,” said FredSchein, president of the San Francisco chapter of the LGBT advocacygroup, Log Cabin Republicans. “LGBT people around the state havefull access and are welcoming these recruiters … but San Franciscois being denied that option.”
Therewere some protests against the National Guard\’s presence at lastyear\’s San Francisco event, which also featured the controversyover Army Pvt. Bradley Manning of Wikileaks fame being selected -then dropped – as grand marshal of the parade.
Are these people really that stupid? Could anyone really be this stupid?
How many years did gay people fight for the right to serve in our military? So now that they have it, this group shows how much it means to them by telling military recruiters – whose presence there is an affirmation that gays are welcome in the military – to take a hike.
And in case this doesn\’t make the message clear enough, they name a disgraced soldier, currently serving 35 years in jail for violating the Espionage Act, as their honorary grand marshal.
What message is this supposed to send to gay people? To the military?
And don\’t let that riff about transgenders, minority recruitment tactics and sexual assaults fool you for a second. If the organizers of this parade used the same criteria on the city of San Francisco – i.e. trangenders welcome with open arms, no minority issues, no sexual assaults – it would have rejected San Francisco as a venue for where this march is taking place and would have to march somewhere else…..except no other city would meet its criteria either, so the march would not even exist.
The truth? This is not being done for gay people. This is being done for left wing, in-your-face political reasons. And the organizers of the march are just as full of crap as the so-called “women\’s groups” who somehow don\’t notice when conservative women are being mercilessly attacked.
Gay people may march in that parade, and gay people may be proud of who they are….but this march is no reason for gay pride.
