FOR ANYONE WHO ACTUALLY BELIEVES BARACK OBAMA HAS HELPED THE JOB MARKET…

It is scary how many people – with the help of a disgracefully complicit media and intentionally incomplete/deceptive data – have been deluded into believing that Barack Obama created millions and millions of jobs.

Here is a chart, sourced from the Bureau of Labor Statistics, which I pulled from an editorial at Investors Business Daily.  It compares the Obama “recovery” to the post-recession recovery we had under Ronald Reagan.  I think it just might provide a quick dose of reality:

EDIT1-ch-050616

Notice a bit of a difference?  Like, for example, that the Reagan recovery got back all the jobs, plus creating all the new jobs coincidental to the increase in population?

By contrast, the Obama “recovery” shows a gap of 14.9 million fewer jobs.

14.9 million fewer jobs.

And that’s before we get to the quality of the jobs under Obama – the fact that so many are part time, the fact that so many are in the lowest-paying areas, the fact that the job participation rate has dropped to a 38 year low.

More from the IBD editorial (which is a must read:  every word of it):

At 160,000 new jobs, April’s number came in well below expectations — which ranged up to 240,000.  The Bureau of Labor Statistics revised its job growth number down by 19,000 for the previous two months.

In addition, the BLS’ separate household survey found that the number of people employed dropped by 316,000 last month, while 562,000 dropped out of the labor force. As a result, the labor-force participation rate dropped to 62.8% — it was 65.7% when the recession ended in June 2009. The increasingly unreliable unemployment, as a result, remained unchanged

In other words, far more people dropped out of the labor force than were added in. Hundreds of thousands more.

Sort of makes that “160,000 new jobs” routine seem a tad misleading, doesn’t it?  Like completely.

The truth is, Barack Obama has been a disaster for the economy.

And all the feel-good BS in the world, along with all the attempts at protecting him by a media determined that the Obama legacy is intact, does not change this even one little bit.
