FACILITATING ISIS (CONT.)

Last week I blogged about the fact that legislation, presented by Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) and based on bipartisan legislation of years ago, which would revoke the passports of US citizens who joined ISIS – a murderous, terrorist group committed to killing US citizens, among many others – was blocked by Democrats.

Well, Cruz is going to try again.

Excerpted from Matthew Boyle\’s article at breitbart.com (who did you expect me to get this kind of news from?  Mainstream media?):

Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) on Thursday ripped U.S. Senate Democrats for blocking his bill that would revoke the U.S. citizenship of those who join the ISIS terrorist organization, noting that they are abandoning something Hillary Clinton supported when she was Secretary of State.

TheDemocrats blocked Cruz\’s bill on Thursday, a bill that would revokecitizenship from Americans who join ISIS. Cruz\’s bill is verysimilar to one that then Sen. Scott Brown (R-MA)-ho is now runningin New Hampshire against Sen. Jeanne Shaheen (D-NH)-and then Sen.Joe Lieberman (I-CT) offered a couple of years ago.

“Asthen-Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said concerning theBrown-Lieberman legislation – quote – \’United Statescitizenship is a privilege, it is not a right. People who are servingforeign powers or in this case foreign terrorists are clearly inviolation of that oath which they swore when they became citizens.\’The Expatriate Terrorist Act of 2014 is only a very modest change tocurrent law. It\’s one small step in a larger and necessary effortto refocus our ISIS strategy that I urge President Obama to considerimmediately.”

Cruzhad made an effort to seek unanimous consent to have his billconsidered, and Democratic Sen. Mazie Hirono of Hawaii objected onbehalf of the Senate Democrats on the Senate floor. Cruz said then:

“Itseems only prudent to address this threat, and I am therefore goingto be asking for unanimous consent for the Expatriate Terrorist Actor ETA of 2014, which will make fighting for ISIS, taking up armsagainst the United States, an affirmative renunciation of Americancitizenship-and I should note here that the ETA is very similar tothe bipartisan legislation proposed by Senators Joe Lieberman andScott Brown in 2010 to address Americans who were joining al Qaidaoverseas, notably the radical cleric Anwar al Awlaki, or here athome, like Faisal Shahzad, who attempted to blow up a car bomb inTimes Square.”

Will Democrats again block legislation to take U.S. citizenship – which, let\’s remember, includes free passage in and out of the United States – to “citizens” who have proactively joined Islamic terrorists committed to killing as many of us as they can?  Do Democrats actually want to keep it as easy as possible for these ISIS traitors to go to their new masters, be trained – possibly as mass murderers in the states – and come right back to fulfill their missions?

How can the Democrat Party do this?

Great question, which I\’ll answer with one of my own:  “How DID they do this ALREADY”.

If they do it once, why would we expect them not to do it again?

I\’ll report more on this as it happens.
