A great many people believe that Barack Obama has improved our economy.
But I wonder how many people know that:
-The 5% economic growth reported in fourth quarter 2104 – with great fanfare – was revised down to 2.2% (that\’s not just a minor tweak, that tells us the growth claims were just plain BS);
-job participation rates have dropped again and are now at their lowest rate since February, 1978 – 37 years ago, smack in the middle of Jimmy Carter\’s economy;
-record numbers of women are out of the workforce;
-record numbers of Blacks are out of the workplace;
-and the gap between our richest citizens and everyone else has substantially widened?
I have a question; a very simple one. Why would so many people be unwaware of these facts; of the ugly economic situation we are in?
Well, who do we rely on to tell us? Mainstream media, that\’s who.
If they don\’t tell us, that\’s why we don\’t know. And in the era of Obama, they don\’t tell us. Would they do the same if it were President Bush? DID they do the same when it was President Bush?
There are many reasons I rail about mainstream media in this blog. This is one of them.
